Bordeaux France Wine Tour Prices: What the Fare Covers in 2026

A Bordeaux wine tour costs from $86 to $878 a person, and the fare alone does not tell you what you will pay. Some fares include the château visits and tastings, and some leave them to you on the day. This guide sets out what each kind of day costs, what the fare buys, and how to compare them before you pay for a Bordeaux France ticket prices.

How much does a Bordeaux wine tour cost?

The fares fall into four bands, by format:

• A shared half day: $86 to $109 a person, tastings included.
• A shared full day: $178 to $292 a person, tastings included, and lunch on the days from Rue Mably.
• An e-bike day: $286 to $350 a person, lunch included.
• A private day: $286 to $878 a person, or $673 to $878 for a whole car.

The city walks cost $16 to $66, and a visit to the Cité du Vin EUR 23 with a glass at the top. Neither takes you to a château.

What does a half day cost?

A shared half day to Saint-Émilion costs $86 to $109. For that you get four to four and a half hours, the van from the centre, a winery visit, the tasting and a guided walk in the village.

The cheapest, at $86, pours three red wines at an organic winery. The half day with a platter costs $97 and adds a Grand Cru Classé visit and an aperitif platter; the eight-wine half day costs $109.

A private half day costs $286 to $480 a person. The Ophorus half days need two people, so a couple pays twice the fare.

What does a full day cost?

A shared full day costs $178 to $292. The Saint-Émilion day with lunch, at $178, covers three wineries, eight wines and a picnic at a château. The Saint-Émilion and Margaux day, at $206, adds the Médoc. The small-group day from the tourist office, at $292, caps the group at six and includes the underground church.

A private full day costs $336 to $878 a person. At the low end, the fare covers the car and the guide; at the top, a WSET-trained guide and the tastings at classified estates.

Why are some private tours priced per car?

Because the car is what you are hiring. The premium sedan costs $673 for up to three people, the van with wifi $878 for up to six, and the Cognac day $790 for up to three.

Full, the sedan works out at $224 each, the van at $146 and the Cognac car at $263. That makes the van the cheapest private day in Saint-Émilion per head, if you fill it. For a couple, the sedan costs the same as two places on Olala's per-person private day, $673, and neither includes the château fees.

Are tasting fees in the fare?

On every shared day, yes. On the private days, it depends on the operator.

• In the fare: the shared half days and full days, the e-bike day from the Colonnes rostrales, Ophorus's private half days, and the private days of Entre Vides, SIP Wines and the 2CV.
• Paid on the day: the sedan and the van, Olala's private full days, the DS convertible and the one-way e-bike ride.
• Unclear: the cruise-port Médoc day. Ask before you book.

What does a château charge you on the day?

The DS convertible's listing gives the range: EUR 10 to 60 a person at each château, depending on the estate and the wines. The winery visit on the e-bike ride from the Chartrons costs from EUR 15 a person.

On a per-car day those fees add up fast. One party on the van day was told on the morning that its tastings would cost EUR 400. So before a day that leaves the fees to you, ask the operator which châteaux you will visit and what each charges.

Is lunch included?

On some days. The two full days from Rue Mably include a picnic at a château with a glass, and both e-bike days include lunch.

Most private days leave lunch to you. SIP Wines gives the usual brasserie menu as about EUR 25 a person, and will arrange an upmarket meal on request. On the half days you eat before or after, though two of them add food: an aperitif platter or macarons.

Should you tip the guide?

Tips are not in any fare, and most listings name them as excluded. They are yours to decide.

What does a luxury day add?

The car or the guide. The DS convertible costs $333 a person, and you pay the châteaux on top. The open 2CV costs $286 a person for up to three, with two châteaux in the fare. The sedan and the van quote one fare for the car.

What does a day on your own cost?

Less in fares, more in planning. The train to Saint-Émilion starts at EUR 9.50, the tuk-tuk up to the village costs EUR 5, and the bell tower EUR 2. The Cité du Vin costs EUR 23 with a tasting, and the Saint-Michel spire EUR 7.

How to pick by budget

• Under $110 a person: a shared Saint-Émilion half day, with the tasting and the village walk in the fare.
• $170 to $300: a shared full day with lunch, or a Médoc half day in the 2CV.
• $300 to $500: a private half or full day, or the DS; check who pays the châteaux.
• Over $500: a Grand Cru day with a WSET guide, tastings included, or the whole van for a group of six.
